IAA/Bil C-69 Ruling versus Base Mine Extension Application

Can someone clarify what impact this ruling will have on the likleyhood of Suncor getting the Base Mine Extension approved?

"The project summary table and initial project description have been submitted to the Alberta Energy Regulator and the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada, respectively. The project application and impact statement are expected to be submitted in 2025."

Thanks.

Bump again. I trust someone on this message board can help answer this question.  It should be a fairly important point to clarify for this community of investors?

Great insight Experienced.  I appreciate getting your thoughts.  Very reasonable and until I hear otherwise from Suncor, I trust your estimate is a good as anyone's.  Will be interesting to see the next more taken by stakeholders on this item.  thanks!

You can watch the actions unfold at this link. I fully expect SU to continue work on the project. https://iaac-aeic.gc.ca/050/evaluations/proj/80521 >>>Notice of Determination on Time Limit Extension Request Ottawa – April 6, 2022 – On April 6, 2022, the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (the Agency) granted an extension to the three-year time limit for Suncor Energy Inc. Law you are better to read comments from Autofocus and others who actually follow and invest in SU and other oil producing g companies. Experienced is not an investor in oilsands companies including SU although he does support some NG producers. Experienced rarely supports anything SU related. Seems like your main comments are Qon Nano so you may also not be an oil sands investor/supporter. There ...more
