A cargo ship laden with Lithium ion batteries is on fire in one hold .

Don't worry

I am sure the Liberals have given careful serious consideration to the consequences of possible fires amongst their numerous very costly adventures into lithium ion battery manufacturing plants !!

who else but the batboys are all pumped up from that amatuerish article. Amateurish because it presented very little hard statistics other than a tiny snippet data from australia market.  Why no EV vs ICE fire statistics from bigger EV market like in china, Norway, Sweden, germany but cherry picked 1 broad unprecise aspect of australian data without knowing what define a fire in their ...more

one area that is smearing ICE fire statistic is crappy ICE cars, like hyundai and Kia ICE cars.  Maybe in batboy's case, his upgrade to an ioniq 5 would be safer drive than his kurrent korean ICE car.

A  more comprehensive overview on EV fires - EV fires is 3X hotter than ICE fire - EV fire can re-ignite hours, days, weeks after been put out - Scrap yard need a minimum 50 ft radius separation for each scrapped or flooded EV  - Fire dept will need instructional diagram for every EV model to put  out EV fire properly {^youtubevideo|(width)425|(height)264|(rel)False|(url)https ...more
