Taylor Swift Carbon Footprint Con't

The other day in supportive response to a post by mrbb, I commented on Taylor Swift's carbon footprint and her statement that she is buying carbon credit offsets to be "carbon neutral"....a "scam" to quote my wonderful wife.

Today while watching the evening news, there was a story on how Taylor will be doing a concert in Japan as part of her billion dollar tour and will be able to fly in her private jet right after the concert is completed to watch in-person the Superbowl and her boyfriend.

The newcast said she can make it an hour ahead of kickoff using her private jet.  The flight will take 12 hours.


Sooooo....her jet produces 2 tonnes of carbon per hour for a total of 24 tonnes for the "emergency" flight.

The carbon footprint from this one flight is 6X the average world carbon footprint per person IN A WHOLE YEAR!!!

Meanwhile, they have the audacity to lecture the "peons" about the dangers of climate change and brag about being carbon neutral.  These people have no shame!!!   Talk about hypocrisy!!
