Google to police oil and gas facilities

Launching satellites to specifically target methane emissions at O&G facilities.  

Hope they don't point that thing at the mining that will be taking place at the Ontario ring of fire where the valuable minerals for the EV tradition will be stripped from the planet.  Wouldn't want to spoil the EV party.  And the lawyers and lawmakers aren't looking for ammunition to target that holy EV sector.

Actually , I feel that mapping methane emissions is a good idea. That way the truth will come out about who are the real perpretators. Disfavouring the Canadian petroleum sector , only to have it replaced by foreign interests ranks up there at the top of the all time idiotic ideas list  Unfortunately , rather than reducing the list , the Liberals seem hell bent to expand it  !!

  There has been massive investment at Canadian oil and gas facilities to improve methane emissions.  Not sure how that will look to the satellites but our Canadian companies have been trying to improve.  So hopefully they stand out as being best in class.  Although I have my doubts that media will recognize these efforts even if the data supports these facilities as being ...more

- MEG Energy 'CLAIMS' that they CAPTURE 98+% of the METHANE PRODUCTION in their SAGD OPERATIONS - of course, they do NOT OPERATE any HEAVY EMITTERS like UPGRADERS for Suncor Energy - NEITHER do they PRODUCE any NATURAL GAS like Tourmaline Oil z173

Lawisfun...yes IMO this is scary development not only regarding the oil and gas industry but also for invasion of privacy by Governments in general. Appears "Big Brother" is not only alive and well but appears to be getting stronger...

They should also police stupid people with satellite , we will be able to see the Trudy's and Guilbeault when they walk around or travel on a map lol
