I'm buying it for the dividend

Oh yeah, think again.

For those who bought company that pay a huge dividend like BCE.

Think again. You have lost more in capital than what you have earned in div.

With R. Kruger at the helm, we are seing improvement in safety, increased production,
cost cutting...

I want to be invested in company that make money not destroy capital.

And for those who said that SU should have sold their downstream assets.Well you
should look at what these assets are generating in profitability.

Again the EV guys that have cristal balls and predicting the end of oil usage(LOL)
They will tell us that the downstream is a dying industry.Well for now and for the foreseable
future, we will be consuming more oil with the population growth.Their is more to oil usage
than just car consumption.Oil is in everything.

Staying long and yes,Life is good.

well said lifeisgood. We are finally seeing some SU stock price appreciating in a decent (not particularily high) Oil price. Fair to say that we have not really seen that in the past. Even during higher oil price cycle, SU stock seemed to be spinning its wheels. Could be wrong of course but it has different feel right now. I believe its investor confidance in the new mangement team.

well investing in bce is good , it all depend at what price you buy , I bought in 2014 around 35$ sold in 2022 at 65$ with all the dividend was good move , today I bought back bce at 49$ remeber buffet quote  ""Beware the investment activity that produces applause; the great moves are usually greeted by yawns."

Can't disagree with you Marty.Having bought like you did in 2014, you did good. But by looking at the 10 year chart, the vast majority of BCE buyers were not as succesful as you.  Congrat on your move and wishing you another good one your today's $49 purchase.
