Productivity 'Emergency'

Canada's productivity laggard among the G7
Bank of Canada says nation faces a productivity emergency | Financial Post

I wonder why..

- stupid woke policy repels foreign investment

- we can't build anything anymore

- mass immigration that only fills low skills jobs, suck up entitlements that even regular canadians aren't eligible for them. The whole selling point of mass immigration was to boost our economy and population fast. Come 25-30 years when these immigrants start collecting CPP, OAS,GIS, i doubt CPP would have enough to pays out since low skills jobs contribute less into social program plus we heading toward gig economy** that doesn't contribute much into CPP and UIC (A gig economy is a labor market that relies heavily on temporary and part-time positions filled by independent contractors and freelancers rather than full-time permanent employees.)

- high taxes

- doughing out money to boondoggles like ukraine aid, more climate studies, arrivecan, EV battery startups

- management put effort in avoiding taxes instead of improving productivity because return on tax avoidance is greater than improving productivity

Y'a thanks , its great to have a drama teacher as prime minister .....doesn't know sh......ite about economy and business , got millions in his banque account before he was borne , never struggle , 8 years of Trudeau made Canada poor , never forget the 8 years of Trudy's at the next elections . Common sense 2025 .... hopefully sooner

I, too, agree 100% but people re-elected his daddy even after he got turfed out, didn't they?

His Daddy Fidel was never really elected seeing that Cuba turned into a one - party socialist state under his administration. He adopted the Marxist-Leninist model of development which was the fore-runner of what Canada is now headed to under young Justin.
