A different perspective - I don't agree with all of this but

Why I will never switch from my EV to one of these new gas cars. 1. Range anxiety - I am used to being on 100% every morning. With a gas car, I might not have enough gas to get to work and have to waste time going to recharge it. 2. Big maintenance problem - After 100k-200k miles you have to swap or rebuild the engine. That’s $10-20k on an old car. This is crazy! 3. Risk of fire - Gas cars have ~100x the likelihood of catching fire compared to EVs. You literally have a full tank of explosive liquid right underneath your back seats. No thank you! 4. Underdeveloped charging infrastructure - Every home has a power outlet. Every AirBnb has one too. No matter how remote. With a gas car, you have to go find special charging stations instead of charging while you sleep. Sometimes, the nearest one could be 50 miles away! 5. Environmental impact - Did you know it takes about 10x as much mining and pumping to get the oil needed to fuel a gas car over its lifetime than the materials needed to build an electric battery? Insane! 6. Range issues - Did you know that if you turn on aircon, charge your devices in the car and blast the infotainment system, your gas car range can go down by 20% or more?! 7. Cost - The average gas car costs 20% more than a Tesla. It’s just too expensive for mass adoption. You have to be a real nutcase fan boy to switch to a gas car!

Lmao .... this must comming from Steven Guilbeault website lol , but of course this is great fun .......ice last more than 400000km and engine cost maybe 2k to swap if you shop around a lot engine from crash and millions of mechanics can swap it .... battery mechanics are in short supply but that was a fun post I give you a thumbs up for humour (ps sometime an engine that burn oil can last for ...more

EV sales in the U.S. to rise at least 10 per cent this year. In China EV sales are projected to increase 25 per cent in 2024. Last year saw a 36 per cent increase. And here in Canada people who have gas vehicles can use them they just won't be able to buy new ones past 2035. We all better get used to it because EV's are coming, like it or not.

Some of the Battery Boys very active this weekend. I wonder how many are invested in TSLA. Year high is almost $300 and current price around $165.  Stressfull times for some of the Battery boys. At least Ecperienced has Tou and perhaps other NG invedtments.

I don't invest in Tesla but I see the stock price settle at a lower price , too many competition lower sales and Elon soon will start to do his little tantrum , I did project the stock under 150$ if trump is elected but I think soon we will be under 150$ and if trump do win the stock will be under 100$ , it's a nice stock to short for obvious reasons .

I wouldn't touch any carmaker apart from TM as an investment. EV uptake had its initial boom driven by incentives but as those wind down growth will invariably slow. Fossil fuel energy is much more appealing as an investment when you view the sector from a global demand growth perspective. But hey, if the battery boys want to post their 'thesis' here I say let 'em. It's just ...more

The last decent liberal business man to lead Canada was Paul Martin. Its been a clown show since from a Canada business point of view. We have the most resouces in the world per capita. We just need the right leadership.

Singapore area =719 sq. km Canada area 10,000,000 sq. km Singapore has no natural resources (singapore boasted their natural scenery as their biggest natural resource but i view that as a subjective measurement) Canada has bountiful of natural resources but can't build or develop it.  1 SGD = 1 CAD

The EV transition is happening and gaining momentum. By ignoring or denying climate change and extreme weather concerns you are missing the whole point of why. Regardless, droughts etc will effect everyone including the oil industry. The environment hasn't had a Pearl Harbour moment yet that will finally get the entire worlds attention. It won't just happen however we will be bringing it ...more
