Interesting Article

I have talked in the past about Government debt and the implications for a lower standards of living for future generations.  By extension this impacts directly on future asset prices including of course oil prices.

Here is a link to what I think is a well written article on the subject.  Prudent investors would be wise to keep this in mind, especially those here who are young.

Expc'd  why do you think it is only the future generations? The roon at a European resort I rented six years ago was 88  Canadian dollrs per night. I am going there  in August today it is 330 Canadian  dollrs a night. . Our money is losing value in each month for the government's foolidh ways of spending or hairbrained social policies. E.G CRA is trying to collect ...more

BT....good question I agree that people are feeling the impact right now so in that sense you are right in your opinion. My focus on future generations is that I do feel that it will much worse for them and they will have to live with it for their whole lives.  Right now the trajectory on Government debt is an acceleration of this debt and frankly, I don't see a political will on either ...more

I agree things went up wayyy to fast .  So many people are in the hole.  I feel a good market crash on the way later this year.
