EV EV EV.............hehe Just sitting back watching things unfold.  China reported July auto sales numbers and for the first time in history, EV sales made up over 50% of all auto sales in the country.  No big deal as China auto sales only account for 32% of worldwide auto sales.  Meanwhile back in Canada where things REALLY matter, I was talking to one of my neighbours today ...more

He personally owns a hybrid and loves it (I didn't have the nerve to tell him that hybrids are dinasaurs that make no sense at all).  Yah, battery boy is so smart and toyota is so dumb to go 100% hybrid. Time and time again, battery boys are so laughable when they showing off their EV prowess. Toyota bets on hybrid only models amid slowing EV demand (evmechanica.com)

As I said before , ev is another fashion trend that only those driving 10000km per year around the house , retired people who have money to spend ..... you have now car that really reliable little 3 cylindre turbo in a Nissan rogue 6 l/100 km cheap to buy at .99% financing , ev are way too expensive for up front cost plus interest plus home charger install and by the way some place electricity ...more

Marty..all true....BUT...unless Governments buy into that thinking around the world and change their legislation none of that matters...IMO based on decades of investing....that is a high risk proposition based on what else you can invest in to get the maximum risk adjusted return. If you you bet on them changing and it happens then you will make a lot of money. For me. I made my money over the ...more
