Man was I wrong!

I've been through many bought deals, PPs IPOs and I can usually judge before the opening if a stock will go up or down.
I was almost certain SVA would go under the bought SP, but I'm pleasantly surprised that it held up this well, and it looks like we'll have another good day today... Phew!!!

So one has to ask themself, are you behind Sernova for the long run or the short run. It suggests you are looking for short term gains with raising these meaningless gears of price action when the fundamentals haven't changed. Be patient. Let Sernova do it's work and let us watch it unfold. Go enjoy the outdoors. Live life.

ClutchB,. Been buying shares for almost 20 years without having sold a single share till last month. If you had seen my posts from last month there would be no need to ask if I'm here for the short term. GL.

Come on Rix, you didn't hold that long because you believed in them from day 1. You held because your average cost was so high you let it ride Nd bought more to bring your cost down till you eventually liked what they were up to. Glad you're happy again, go read your hissy fit posts from a day ago that was ugly.

Exactly right, Bio. Initially started buying to average down, and ended up with more shares than I expected to own.  It also helped that a fellow Greek became CEO. I'm biased towards Greek CEOs. Lol. As for my "fit". I was pissed and expressed myself the way I felt.  Theres no hype or commercials with me. I'll say what I believe at the time without hiding anything. If I ...more

I appreciate when someone admits they were wrong. But Rix, you were advising people to sell their shares on open and that you guaranteed they could buy for well below 1.20. These Boards should be to help others, not just vent. We are at 1.40 now. Anyone who took your rant at face value would have lost out. The interest in the bought deal is high and gonna close quick if it isnt already.   ...more

I agree 100%. We all want to make money off our investments. Last thing we need to hear is negative post about a stock I believe in!
Comment by rixpix on Feb 05, 2021 10:05am
Yes I did, JonE, but I did it because that's what I believed would have happened. There was no mal intent on my side. That's why I apologized to the board.  Fwiw, I'll probably biaatch like that again the next time I think something is wrong.. You have to understand, for every 10 cents swing, my portfolio swings $15 thousand. Maybe for some here, that's nothing but for me it ...more

Hey RP, Nobody said that predicting with limited information is easy.  The key is being able to change your mind when new information becomes available (the good old "updating" that the company is getting better at as well).  Adam Grant's latest book might be of service.  Just don't read it and think the scientist in you can turn ALL this into a technicals calc ...more

DF. Thanx for your book recommendation but having tried TA and trading many years ago and not having much success, I find buy and hold to be more rewarding and less daily stress. Also, in order to make money, you have to admit your mistakes, turn the page and move on. At my age, turning 60 this year, not interested to change now. Happy to be where i'm at. Once again thanx, and thanx for ...more

All good Rix. All of us long timers have been there at one point or another. But we all need to realize the game has changed for this Company. It's moved up to a new level, so our historical experiences (ie always sells hard on news) are less relevant.  J$
