This is huge. The patient is very happy with this. a billion dollar market now opens to Sernova.

Yes the first patient is insulin independent .... but from the portal vein top up or from the pouch itself? The other patients are not insulin independent so far . Immunosuppresion needs to be solved for a cure for TD1 . Sva apparently has a solution , but for some reason nothing has been done with immune coating. Let's hope it does not go the way of Serotoli cells.

Sertoli, Age-X, Conformal Coating. 3 strikes and you're out? Sernova should really just sell it's pouch (patents) to Vertex at 500 million. However, that ship has probably already sailed.
