Markets

I don't care how good the news is going to be in these markets . Spillup has missed the boat , he should have gotten the deal done sooner.  Now headwinds of market crash and warrants expiry into summer / fall does not bode well.

He might not even get all that warrant cash.  Extreme pressure on sp in the coming months .

Any news and bounce will be an opportunity  for longterm investors to get out .

Look at that 100k bid that is slowly getting hit at 1.40. Too much risk aversion out there for this to rally on any news. I agree, Spill missed the mark by a couple months. Not surprised. I still smell dilution but no one else seems to care comment on that. Ignorance is bliss ;)

Do you think an uplisting to the TSX could create enough buying pressure combat the selling pressure on news?
Comment by MustangSalley on May 12, 2022 3:51pm
I doubt Tsx listing will help. Lots of variables . If it not a major pharma and no cash in the deal, market won't be pleased imo.  If they do more dilution , that won't help either. The fact in two months you have tens of millions of warrants to expire , there will be tremendous selling pressure .  We will just have to wait to see any details of the deal and timing.   ...more

The one thing is that the valuation of the company within whatever deal will become a floor for the share price despite selling pressure. Just like the $1.20 of the cannacord deal became our floor last year.

You're right, I don't see us falling below 1.40 after said deal but I'm just not counting on a massive rally. Again, I hope I'm wrong.

MoneyMouth don't br so nieve. Past performance is no guarantee of future performance. In the current environment, all bets are off.

Money, you are assuming they will have the listing completed before any deal. Look at the state of the TSX and Venture exchanges. The crash is only starting so I think that short of a deal with some MAJOR pharma, the outlook is grim. Then again, you never really know what will happen but my bet is it will be lacklustre. The timing is awful and would have been much better when the market was in ...more

" Look at the state of the TSX and Venture exchanges. The crash is only starting..." So far this is simply a much needed correction with a possible drift into bear market territory. A crash involves 30% or 40% drops but likely many here were too young in 1987 (or not born) to recall that particular debacle. Yesterday, three of my boring dividend holdings actually had modest gains. TRP ...more
