Changing Winds?

From my perspective, the most interesting part of the EWR filed by the Zucker Trust is the fact that the Chairman of SXP is no longer the Trustee for the Trust. If a bid was to be made by the Trust he likely would not want to be in a possible conflict, hence the change. 

With the NCIB back, the Trust’s ownership is increasing daily (%) so something could be blowing in. Of course, this is only speculation on my part.

Regarding the Article 6 Marital Trust, I don't think it's really their style to do something like bid for all of Supremex. They tend to do these large-% small cap value investments because they believe in the story. Based on their record, far more likely is that someone else (like maybe a private equity buyer) will come along and buy all of Supremex. But not at $4.20 per share. Much ...more
