Target $12...it only makes sense to cut or eliminate divy
this money is better served by growth in the company and the company knows it has more value with the buy back starting in a couple of days for buying back up to 10% of the company shares and eliminating them......lemons lemonade :))

If Sylogist gets rid of dividends, the share price will be substantially lower as investors will lose an incentive to invest in that company.

It seems like that !! Lot of investors in Sylogist tolerated the price decline for past many years simply for the sake of consistent dividends. With dividend eliminated, management will have a challenging task to prove itself to keep those shareholders interested. Price action today seems to tell that many are trying to bail out, already.

Dividend is not eliminated it is reduced to 1 cent per share which anytime a company does this the stock takes a hit. Probably a wise move on the part of management because the buybacks will be cheaper when those investors that rely on dividends sell. I have been on the fence when I sold a couple years ago if it drops further I might pull the trigger. All the best Charlie.

Buybacks are not wise for Sylogist as the Trudeau Government will soon impose a "2% Buyback Tax" starting January 1, 2024.
