Whack a Mole/Pundit - whose wrong who's right?
WRONG:
Christine Poole - 13/07/2023 - BUY
Likes the space for income. Yield of 5.7%. Expects a bit of capital appreciation.
Trevor Rose - 5iResearch 26/06/2023 - BUY on WEAKNESS
"We don't think it's a specific 'issue' at the company though"
Payl Harris - 15/06/2023 - BUY
"Not worried about the Rogers merger. Spent lots of capex on their network. Will continue to do well."
Andrew Pyle - 05/06/2023 - BUY ON WEAKNESS
Has been adding to it in the past month. Has good value. Attractive dividend and dividend growth. Would buy on current weakness.
======================
RIGHT:
Andrew Pink - 06/07/2023 - SELL
Recently sold. Really high multiple of 22x adjusted 2024 earnings. Debt servicing costs are going up. Regulatory environment in Canada is uncertain.
Michael Decter - 22/06/2023 - SELL
He exited because fixed income returns matched Telus dividend. Also, he's concerned that consumer pressure on prices may eventually open the door to competition.
Chris Blumas- 14/06/2023 - Don't Buy
Pricing pressure coming. Rogers' enhanced footprint will have most impact on Telus.
Greg Newman - 27/06/2023 - Don't Buy
this trades at a rich 24x PE. Are better stocks.

Those that were 'RIGHT' got it right for the wrong reasons. Telus, in Canada, is doing fantastic! The international is what got hit. Temporary.
