I see dividend cuts coming to the whole Telco sector.
These are unpresidented times...

Didn't Telus just raise it's dividend in November. I don't see a cut in our future. The prime lending rate just been cut again which is good for those with debt. Gic rates are falling which is bad for savers. I will continue to leg in during tax loss selling season as a 7% yield looks like a safe bet.

The chance of Telus cutting their dividend is "0" and anyone who says they will doesn't know anything about Telus and is just a fear monger.

stockstarker...I agree for now but then again I though BCE would never cut and now I am thinking they might (divvy now over 10 percent). BCE is about to dip below 35 this week...been a lot of years since the SP has been that low. I suspect this sector is either a tremendous play here or one of the biggest values traps out there.

If you think any stock has a zero chance of cutting their dividend you are very naive. Never say never, and especially in these times.
