borrowing money to pay dividends is dumb
it doesn't create shareholder value but decrease shareholder value in the long term
people can buy GIC if they want income.
the money is better spent investing in the business if shareholders want shareholder or stock price appreciation. it's earnings and profits that increase shareholder price in the long term
the company is paying all it's profits to pay interest on the debt. and they are increasing debt. to pay dividends.?
