Seems there is a divergence here

Between   shareholders  wants  and needs  and  company,s actions. Shareholders  would  like  a middling  dividend   say   .60  per annum   while  all  money  is being  poured into  share   buybacks. Seems  like  people  at the top  are working  against those    at the bottom so   they  are caving  which   is which   those  at the top  want.   ITS   BIZARRE .

nice  percentage  dividend   increase  somewhat   addressing  those concerns

The dividend increase was announced last Nov with ex dividend next week. The payout ratio is among the lowest in the industry which makes it extremely well supported and subject to more bumps. I like the fact that they are shrinking their float too.

There is a possibility, players following this stock correctly anticipated a large decline in profitability for 2024. There was over 3m shares shorted on Feb. 15. Short covering?
