Privatize

What I really want to know is that since Avarga limited is the majority shareholder (they own over 70% of shares),are they allowed to privatize Taiga and buy everyone's shares for whatever they want, like $.01? If that was the case I don't think they would have paid a dividend, But I'd appreciate someone who knows to inform me. Thanks

NO..this would be known as a "issuer bid"...majority shareholder voting weight GOES AWAY.. clear rules, must win over minority shareholders-formalized bid process-must issue a circular typically with an independant valuation etc...AGAIN, this is the classic PRIVATIZATION candidate-cheap, small public float vs extra millions spent on regulatory ..possible divi coming..stock has performed ...more
