Another Viewpoint
There are almost no non-REIT real estate plays in Canada, which is why we often suggest TCN for growth. We would continue to do the same. It is very cheap, as investors fret over high interest rates. Consensus does call for lower EPS this year, but we think as confidence returns to the market investors will look forward. TCN has a solid US real estate portfolio and a decent dividend while one awaits a recovery. We woud continue to recommend it, but it is a more aggressive choice than much larger REITs so that has to be part of the decision here. (5iResearch)
