td

i had a feeling this would happen pre earnings. i will buy in low to mid 77s and likely on wednesday

if royal, bns, national deliver good earnings you can bet TD wont. there just isnt room for everyone to deliver on earnings.

for TD to do well some bank has to lose - CIBC, BMO, BNS are likely targets. national and royal will tend to do well.

Yes, I agree. I think BNS will blow a tire once earnings come out. It has gone up far too much, too fast. TD is a good candidate for the monies since it remains cheap, and could get cheaper post-earnings.

Well you and I were almost right. Bns did miss on earnings but only by a penny. We will know more tomorrow with royal, national and then Thursday it's a very busy day

Correction. Bns missed by 0.03 on eps and also no dividend increase. So bad result.

BNS miss on earnings and no divvie increase confirms this. How much will it drop?

Will they use this as a kitchen sink quarter in advance of the new CEO?

i am concerned as well. thats why i hold only 100 shares. if its a slight miss or forecast is so so it will likely go down to 76/75 and i will buy. if its a terrible quarter and something major like no dividend increase then i will just sell my 100 shares and take the loss. if it is a good quarter and goes higher then i buy as well at 82/83 i just dont want to buy more shares now and then hope ...more

What sort of items could we be expecting caretired?

Ry delivered an amazing quarter and so did national For td to increase dividend meaningfully they must deliver eps of over 2.0. The expectation for earnings is 1.81 per reuters so that means it has to be a big beat Td is already paying 1.02 in dividend or over 50% of earnings. Usually they pay 45% so the eps has to be there for td to increase dividend  If they deliver 1.88-1.9 which is a ...more
