$828 Million Asset impairment charge ?

$828 million 'asset impairment' charge in the 3rd Q - if this is related to the damage tat the Trail Zinc plant the damage must have been huge -and- how long will the plant be out of action?

What is and why was there an asset impairment charge of this magnitude? doesn't really make sense
