Question for the science members, if someone is infected with HIV from an advanced MDR individual will they be at the same MDR level?  It seems like that’s the way it would work, sure would be a horrible way to start one’s battle with HIV.

Well it's maybe a little more complex than that. Depends if they pick up the virus from somebody under ART treatmentthe, passed on virus may only be a subset of all the virus in the original person and might therefore have more limited MDR issues but generally the answer is yes.

I suppose it's a bit like MRSA infections, they pass along in the hospitals and such already resistant to antibiotics.  Obviusly, much worse, but same principle.
