I looked at your link just to see what amazingly high interest rate they paid.  I was surprised to see whomever the buyer is only gets 10% interest! Money's cheap these days I guess....  and with a strike price massively out of the money (3x of current price) at a level the share's never seen! Cheap money indeed.
Comment by SPCEO1 on Apr 05, 2021 9:48am
That is a really ugly interest rate on that CYDY convert but given the crazy high strike price, I think you could argue it was a better deal than the OO.  The Odious Offering was a historically bad deal. I have been at the investing game for 42 years and it was certainly one of the worst i have ever seen. One aspect of the deal that was a head scratcher was the warrants not coming due until ...more

They did the deal with only ONE instutition,,,,,,,,,,The deal is definitely much better for CYDY and shareholdsc in spite of the high interest rate than TH s deal ,,,....which cost tens of millions to sharehoders due to dilution amd which will cost  possibly tens of millions with the exercise of the warrants

Hire their CFO, he understands a fleece   ;)

Everytime I revisit the OO the worst it looks,,,,Awful timing ,terrible  terms ,unimaginative , permanent long term damage to long term shareholders ,,,

Not to rub salt in our wounds, by CYDY is actually up 20% on their news.

Hire their whole IR department, whether we like it or not their investor relation strategy has worked, their short interest is high yes! there are law suits pending yes! but we can't ignore the fact they have successfully managed to pump their valuation with much less so yes pump the deflated valuation of THTX please, giving the undervaluation of the company it's almost unethical, unfair ...more

Naw...we want the facts -- the facts that will come from these human trials -- to clearly underpin a much higher valuation that will be entierly justified.  Maybe even we get to overvalued territory as excitement over commercialization prospects propel it. Yes, it isn't valued what we think it should be based on some other legitimate comps, but I think the facts will get us there and ...more

I agree with Scarlett's sentiment but not with his/her proposed actions! And while we are all anxiously awaiting the facts on cancer, we already effectively have them on NASH. So, the stock should be reflecting something for NASH right now if there was any justice. As far as I can tell, however, that is not goign to happen until the company figures out a way to successfully  communicate ...more

There is a saying, "aim at sky so at least you reach the top of tree"! In case of THTX pumping probably would translate to effective promotional marketing, I don't expect them to come out with bogus claims but quite frankly what does Leah do from 9 to 5? has anyone seen anything apart from fireside chat so we could say at least they are trying..,
Comment by palinc2000 on Apr 05, 2021 12:48pm
You need to be confident in yourself before being able to have others have confidence in you,,, As applied  to TH the Offering did not show  much confidence ....or at least this is how it was interpreted  by the market,,,The market has rebounded from the post Offering low but still has  a long way to go Need to walk the talk,,,,
Comment by SPCEO1 on Apr 05, 2021 3:28pm
Their lack of confidence as evidecned by the OO certainly has made me wonder if we are missing some really big problem in either NASH or cancer or both. In the end, though, I think they just really acted incredibly foolishly with the OO.
Comment by SPCEO1 on Apr 05, 2021 3:26pm
I think they have picked up the pace a little bit on the frequency of press releases, but other than that, I am not aware of any concerted effort to adjust to the current market circumstances for the benefit of the share price. The message we are getting is that we should be OK with the stock missing out on the bull market even while the company got considerably better and had a story to tell that ...more

Do you think they are waiting for publication of the protocol so there's some meat around it? It seems like they may also be trying to get EMA on board since we've heard nothing on trial details. Then there is no excuse for them not to put up the glaring valuation discrepancies -- and keep hammering they are past the safety stage, so already along the path.
Comment by jfm1330 on Apr 05, 2021 1:05pm
Any investor interested in Thera because of NASH is aware of the valuation discrepancies. An investor that is not aware of that is not a serious investor.
Comment by qwerty22 on Apr 05, 2021 1:31pm
I think that is what it is. There are enough 'odd' things about this program that concrete milestones are required. Just as an example, a 'study may proceed' letter should be a concrete step forward, it was with the cancer program. Yet somehow it's become another 'odd' aspect of the NASH program simply by not being as concrete as it should be. 24 months ago I thought ...more
Comment by SPCEO1 on Apr 05, 2021 3:44pm
How would you describe CYDY - are it's progams also odd? Yet the market is willing to give it a much higher value. I am not sure being a bit odd cuts it for the lack of valuation credit in this market.

They may well be waiting for that so as not to upset the FDA in any w ay by seemingly presuming they have the FDA's backing.  But they already have the FDA's backing so it seems unlikely that would be reversed. With the change in administration, however, that risk is a bit higher than before as the new FDA under Biden seems to be reverting to its grumpier past. I don't know all ...more

As per website they are still at preclinical stage in cancer program and the trial is expected to begin in q2? The website and news section is the main source of information for THTX, the idea is to make it easy for interested folks to get a decent understanding of where the company is in terms of their business not conflicting messages!! Again how hard is it to correct that for a company which is ...more

Here we go again... At some point, Cytodyn will have to pay that back with their own money. Same for Thera with their own convertible.  These convertible deals are just pushing real financing later. At some point they need money of their own, either through cash flow or share offering at at price the market is willing to accept.
Comment by jfm1330 on Apr 05, 2021 11:06am
I said it was their second such convertible, I was wrong, it's their third. Some are admirative of such cr*p??? 85 M USD in debt in 8 months. Way to go!!! All that with an overinflated SP and non share offering??? That would be better than Thera's last financing??? https://www.cytodyn.com/newsroom/press-releases/detail/483/cytodyn-completes-second-non-dilutive-28-5-million https ...more

I have not been following it super closely but i believe they have raised  money through normal share offerings as well in the last year. ANd they certainly must have had a whole lot of warrants exercised that helped them raise more capital as there were hundreds of millions of those outstanding and they have a exercise price near $0.50 to the best of my recollection. I am not even sure how ...more

I went through their press releases, massive amount of press releases, often for stupid anecdotal stuff, and I found nothing about a traditionnal share offering since their stock skyrocketed. The last one I found was a warrant offering with no details on the price attached to it. It was back in June 2019 when the SP was at 0.50$. https://www.cytodyn.com/newsroom/press-releases/detail/337/cytodyn ...more

JFM, you are already a Grinspoon award winner here but you deserve another award for wading the the endless and mindless supply of CYDY press releases. I think that may qualify you for Sainthood!
Comment by jfm1330 on Apr 05, 2021 10:47am
Second financing like that they are doing in the last year. Why not with new shares? I think the answer is obvious, no one is interested. So a high SP does not automatically means you can finance with new shares at that price.
