They act like big pharma. That's a problem
This tiny biotech, few employees in the US and Canada, mostly head-office or work-at-home, acts like a major pharma company. They cannot turn on a dime. Everything takes so much time. Why? They act as a big pharma - consultants on marketing, consultants on strategy, consultants on financing, consultants on a reorg., consultants, consultants, consultants....painfult way of conducting business when you think you are big but actually a very very small fish.
That's a major problem. They need to behavre like entrepreneurs. And if they don't have that skill set, fire them! THey think they have such a big ship to steer. That vision has to quickly change and evolve.
From my experience and turn of events, it's at least 10 weeks they know they 'failed' their phase I. It's at least 6 months they have had issue with patient accrual. And here we are, still waiting for the ship to be steered on a clearer path. That has to change. It's unacceptable.

Well said. We don't even work for the company and we can clearly paint a clear picture of what's going on in there for the past three-four years. It's quite an accomplishment for this board. Our gift to them - they can skip paying another consultant doing a deep-dive in their business.
