You alluded to my thoughts.... FMV and Book Value, and basis for sale of any potential PP & E. I might work through financials based upon sale that has been talked about... talk to a few first.. its a lot of work.. cheers.. good luck on your trading.

Hegemo- I am specifically alluding to using incorrect EBITDA multiples. However you can indirectly look at this as questioning other methods for true value, correct. I agree with you, Book vs FMV, big difference.  Looking through financial based on sales is one way to gather data. Another could be calling auction houses that sell rigs and trying to get some quotes. Problem is rig prices vary ...more
