But here's the deal.  Exactly what is RR going to do, run us into the ground?  Oh wait, we're on the ground . . . .

The points RR make are the exact same points that we've been chatting about on the Yahoo board for years and years.  The Curis deal stinks.  Several of our directors made a pile at our expense.  There's simply no excuse for that.  None.  We'll never see Florence in operation.  At best we see a test plant in 5 - 10 years.  I see no logic whatsoever in flushing money for a test plant on a mine that we'll never see.  And what if the technology doesn't work?  What if the technology works but we have groundwater problems?  Then what?  It's one thing to inject in the middle of the desert.  It's another to inject near residential properties.  Every time the wind blows we're going to be accused of contaminating something.  We've now got well over a $100 million tied up in an acquisition and test project, and now we have a contamination liabiliity.

And best case, the test plant works.  We'll still never see a full-scale mine unless the planets totally align.  And while we're chasing that dream, we've got Gibralter and the potential for Prosperity right in front of us.

And that's just Florence.  We haven't even talked about Aley.  Have you guys researched Niobium?  Please do and report back.  One supplier control 92% of the market.  Think that Brazilian supplier is going to let us walk into the middle of their party and take business?  Unless we can crush them on price, that's a losing proposition.  If we can't compete on price, they'll drop the price until we break.

At any rate.  Yes, there is a risk that RR could go bad on us.  But I'll still trade out the current team that I know for certain has sold us down the drain.  At least I can say I've had a thoughtful conversation with RR.  As to our team, all you'll get from Brian is "good things are about to happen."  I'm still waiting for all those good things . . . .

The Curis deal stinks (do you still think so?).....We'll never see Florence in operation (still think so?)...At best we'll see a test plant in 5-10 years (built, operated and proved successful in 4 years)....We'll still never see an operating mine even with a successful test unless the planets align (still think so?)....all Brian says is good things are about to happen (looks like he is going to end up right, don't you think?)

All your words ACME character (one must be if a certain age to understand that). Question is, what do you think now? Was Brian right? Are you on board with management now? Was Florence a mistake?

Question: What is a fish with no shares? Same fool he ever was with no shares to proxy.

I think that was written in the 2014 range when management was advising that Florence was going to be shovel ready within a year or so (meaning 2015).  So here are my thoughts: 1. I think the planets are aligning on Florence, thank god.  But I still don't believe it was a good investment.  Time will tell.  I've lost track of the costs.  $100 million was spent in ...more

Gotcha, Joe.  The same would have held true in 2014.  (I've been a shareholder since 1993, so I go way back.  I loaded up in 2002-03 when prices were very low.  Could have sold a few times and made a small fortune over the years but just made poor decisions). Regardless, we're on the same team.  I'm very much hoping for the best for TGB.

A little cooperation here and everyone gets rich, including them.

Appears so, agree that once Florence gets into construction Taseko can definitely be a $3 stock. Sorry you took a hit years back. Hopefully the future is much better for all.
