Financing

I have owned here for years and been decimated herebecause I bought the NP hype.  I held on to 75k shares and refused to sell as I am learning my lesson on investing in areas that I have no business investing.  I'm not a trader and didn't add money when it was well below a buck which would have made me more than whole because I had a more speculative stock that was paying off for me.

That said, thank you to regular posters as some of us read but don't participate.

With prices continuing north, due to tight supply, why wouldn't Taseko just try to refinance their current debt and add a 150 million or so and pay the remainder from free cash flow?

They then could pay off the debt in approx 3-4 years and role large from that point on.

Or get the permit and sell for 7-10 bucks a share to someone with deeper pockets?

You could keep some of the management team and some may wish to retire at that price.

I just don't like the talk of giving away the mine like they did with the PP for in my opinion peanuts.

Thanks and Good Luck!

Wildturkeybourbon... you must be drinking the cheap stuff.....tko is currently valued at around 450 million.... they have 250 million of net debt.... alot of that needs to be refinanced very soon... they just dud a financing at 1.08 / share..... that was the best they could do.... where are you getting the 7-10 / sh from ?.... dont listen to cooper he is just trolling hoping others lose money like ...more

I get 7-10 on approximately half the value of the company at current copper prices with Florence in production.  So I would trade a steady supply of low priced copper well into the future for 7-10 dollars once the final permit is received.  Or they can build the mine and start producing the copper in 2 years and produce roughly 200k tons of copper between the 2 mines at 2-3 dollars a ...more

Agree 100%...seems it should be possible to build Flo with cash from Gib, plus a loan. Once in production with Flo and Gib the loan could be paid off in less than a year. To lose 25% of Flo production to partial financing of construction will be a HUGE loss for the next 20 years!!

What they should do, and what they will do are two different things.  We saw that with the PP.  It really depends on how much they think they are over a barrell.  That depends on what really is going on at Gibralter.  Better to take more time and negotiate a better deal than take a bad one too quickly.

They read these boards jc. The sole reason I got involved with tko was because a ceo in another corp that I was in and revealed nefarious roings threatened me with a slapsuit like tko was using on an individual opposed to the florence project that was publishing on sh.  I was a bit inscensed at a large corp trying to silence someone with a slap suit. I spoke up. In the end, I realized the ...more

Friendly reminder JC, nothing wrong with locking in some profit before Q4 comes out. If they miss, you'll have fresh funds to get back in after the slide. If it's flat or above, you can get back in as well. Highly doubtful they come in big and you miss a substantial run up in share price. Just a suggestion, nothing more. CMMC up 10% today, FCX up over 6%. You are well aware of the tells ...more

OK.  With this strategy, just lay some percentages out there.  There are three pieces of news we are looking for: 1,  Q4 results. 2.  Florence financing package 3.  EPA approval. I think its a 60% chance of negative or mediocre news on earnings.  Given this company's track record there is an 80% chance Florence financing will be disappointing.  The EPA ...more

My take JC: 1. Q4 results are disappointing / a miss - 83% 2. Florence financing package sucks - 61% 3. EPA approval - 92% 4. We sharehoders continue on our roller coaster ride - 96.4% 5. Share price is higher at end of year from this point - 66.6%

When will Q4 be announced?
Comment by nofluff on Jan 07, 2021 2:37am
Typically q4 is announced with year results at end of feb. But most corps announce production about now.  Lots of qs 2 b answered. One thing 4 sure. It is big money that controls the sp. As copper has been going up, so has tko sp. So I think there is likely more positive than negative with tko at this point. Copper price the big positive.  Happy guessing. nf

My point was you havnt learned a thing since buying your shares on the np pump.... still dreaming....if you think flo will be running in 2 years why do you value that production now?. Have some whiskey
