New Question About Previous Private Placement Deal

Now that we know management was able to secure $400M US by way of 7% bonds, one has to wonder why they took such a beating on their now infamous private placement package, no? They took in such a paltry amount of cash comparatively that it makes less sense now. Anyone else consider this?

Been saying all along.  Family and friends.  Maybe the people who are buying the notes as a condition of the finance package.

I think u hit it on note takers. They run funds. So they say, we want in at bottom and we got 400 million of fund cash.  We r talking 40 million on equity and 400 million notes. So things work out. I am just guessing.  nf
