cash to bank in cads

end of q2.   200 million from notes. 200 million from bank and gib. 200 million from 20% jv.

Florence will b bigger so 300 million cads to build. 50 million to finish np work. That leaves 150 million and growing to down pay on ymi financing.

NF, I like your rounding, but I am not sure it works in real life. Notes are 400M, they owe 250M, minus extras that leaves about 130M, no 200M. They did not specify that all would go to Florence, so in that case Fish is right, about 100M to Florence.  "The improved market conditions are timely as we continue to advance all financing options for the Florence copper project. We ended the ...more

The 400 million is u.s. funds. Net 200 million cads after redemptions. 200 million bank cads is end of q2 with copper at 3.50. The 200 million jv will no doubt happen with a tesla type. After np and ymi expenses still have 200 million in the bank. By the time flor is in production 2022 there should b 400 million in the bank. We then only need another billion to build ymi. At 10.00 copper florence ...more

If a high visibility JV buys in, it might be worth it.
Comment by KentWilkens on Jan 29, 2021 10:43am
OK, hope your math is right. And yes, a JV with someone like Tesla would garner some very nice attention, and likely more buyers. KW

Imagine oct 2022. Tko is commisioning plant with double mine projected 200 million pounds tko share. 6.00 cad copper. Florence paid for and 1 billion in the bank. Tko sell 25% ymi for 500 million and has cash to build ymi. As mine built flor and gib are slambing cash to the bank at 1.2 billion for the 2 years it takes ymi to get built. 25% of np gets sold for 1 billion. Cash to build. Tko just ...more

Fluff.  Sometimes reading your posts is like getting those old Publisher's Clearinghouse fake checks that used to come with the Reader's Digest in the mail.  You sit there looking at it thinking "what if this was real?"  The fantasy aspect was enternainment in itself. What will you do with your $100 million plus?

I will do the same as always jc. Just give it away. Of course, I do not put my family into poverty. But there r disasters all around the world. Chantelle and I have many friends in disaster areas. It kind of feels good to help in emergencies.  nf

Just a little fantasy.  Copper goes to 4.50  Gib produces 135 million pounds at cost of 2.50 (75% owned by TGB).  Florence produces 100 million pounds at production  cost of $1.30 (financing cost added).  Profitable TGB sp runs to a 35 PE because of present profit and pipeline.   $60 sp.  US  not CAD. it's just the numbers.  None of this is ...more

Good numbers jc. U s0eaking in u.s.  and me in cad makes for interest conversation:))  We r likely all getting quite quick at the translation. 60 bucks is even good in cad language. nf

We all know there are LOTS of companies trading at much higher values based on less substance than this company.   Most risk has been mitigated.  People are just now starting to think about the importance of raw materials and commodities.

TESLA buys finished goods not ore from a mine. They don't fabricate motors from scratch.

Hence 'someone like"  as in high visibility.

If a company--like Tesla--realizes its supply chain is in jeapardy because of a copper shortage, it is not unreasonable for them to buy a commodity company--like a mine-- to keep their suppliers in product and the asssembly line rolling.   This is not brain surgery.  Of course, we mention Tesla only as an example.  No rumors or indication of any specific company at all.
Comment by KentWilkens on Jan 29, 2021 12:56pm
JC, correct, pure speculation, but if a JV happened, it would be for a reason, and a JV with an end user is a very good fit. For example, Sojitz corp was the buyer of 25% of Gibraltar for 187M.  "As a general trading company, the Sojitz Group is engaged in a wide range of businesses globally, including buying, selling, importing, and exporting goods, manufacturing and selling ...more

One of the reasons for me ruining Tesla is that the company y has been mentioned in articles since 2019 as interested in buying mines--nickel was the primary target. They aren't just manufacturing cars.  The battery production was in mind. again no rumors or indication,  just talking through types of scenarios.

Just for education..... Gib produces concentrate that must be refined into copper. Flo produces 99.99% finished copper that needs no further refining.
