CN Update

CN briefed large customers this morning to expect 2 weeks of downtime. CP is in worse shape.
NoFluff please don't make up stories about rain at the mine stopping work.  Highly unlikely.   As for strike deal it is good to note that Williams Lake has a long history of making things work instead of striking.  Reason why Tolko and Westfraser largely avoided mill closures in Williams Lake and went after mills with poor work ethic- ie Mackenzie.
   As for TKO it's locked into this trend along with lots of others for now as China and others take a pause.  The thing is more copper is not online, and is not going to be online until we get wild again.

Cup. No stories made up. They had rain and snow. lots of it. If u look at the disaster just south, u could asume they could b shut down untill worst over. Notice!! I was guessing on data. Also notice, I said it would not have long term consequense as they were mining upper benches in both pits.  However, con shipments will b made only at great expense. Perhaps not until q 2.  Airline ...more

Since the 2 major routes to fraser will b down 4 months. No trucking will happen. Rail sevice will b commondeered if available for essential services. Trucking will happen to towns like williams lake so short rail halls can move food and water and other essentials as quick as possible. Food can come from u.s. by boat to van port. Helicopters will distribute to territories in need. This is not ...more

After port. essentials can come up the fraser all the way to hope by small boat. Helicopters can go interior.  Realy fast help is needed. nf
