For those who think a war will shut down the demand for copper, guess what bullets are made of? by weight... copper coated lead bullets, brass shell casings (67% copper & 33% zinc), gunpowder, and a primer.

200 million people are now out of the economy...Russia and Ukraine.  Europe will shut down so that's another 600 million choosing between food/fuel and toys with copper in them. If you looked at Rent a Center earnings you can take out a good 50 milion americans from the shop till you drop crowd.  Add in 100 million who will be starving as food prices take out record high after record

and the message that will be screamed across the world, if the world has to be rebuilt, will be "renewable energy! We need to make a power grid that relies on the sun, wind, and water ... NOT Russia, Saudi Arabia, China, or America!"

Take some physics courses and you can calculate that renewable energy will only light  your house. If you want major power to move cars, heat your home, energy for industry you need fuel. All those bombs Putin is dropping could be producing usefull energy instead of killing people.

I didn't say I agree with the message, but the message will still be "renewable energy!"  once academia and media proclaim anything, there is no way to convince them that they were wrong. They are the self-proclaimed arbiters of truth and science! the world is currently guided by those who can maintain the deepest level of confirmation bias for the longest time frame.
