Permit Update form EPA:

I emailed Nancy Rumrill at the EPA and this was her cogent response to me. So looking at Q2 as they are moving through the public participation process for the hearing and the administrative record.

Hi Scott,

In mid-November 2021, we provided an early copy of the draft Underground Injection Control (UIC) Permit to Florence Copper, Inc. for their review and comment. We are in the normal process of evaluating the Underground Injection Control application, and we have not yet issued the proposed UIC Permit for public notice. In our next steps, we are working on preparing for the public participation process (see 40 CFR Part 124 for Procedures for Decisionmaking) which includes public notice of the draft Permit action for a public comment period, a public hearing per 40 CFR §§ 124.10 and 124.12, and preparing the administrative record. While there is not a specific schedule for the public notice, we expect to make a preliminary determination on the proposed permit in the 2nd quarter of 2022 and I will update you when we do so.

Thanks, Nancy

First and foremost, many thanks to Peach for taking the time to contact the EPA and sharing the results. Second, the EPA response is very close to what we've been espousing from the beginning, that is, there was never a problem with the permit itself AND this still all boils down to WHEN a certain EPA official signs off to actually get the process moving to the next stage of the public comment ...more

Key phrase "when it fits their schedule."  It sounds to me like the scheduling part is not the permit itself, but whatever administrative details go into the public comment period.  I cannot imagine that takes much EPA personnel commitment, but I do not know.

Uniformed people on this board seem to have the impression that 1) this permit is the only thing on the EPA's plate, and 2) the EPA staff if dragging its feet, sitting around eating bon bons when they should be properl focused on making us all wealthy. Although it's been quite a few years since I worked for the agency there are a few things that I remember from when I was there: 1) the ...more

I would like to see Taseko stock reflect it's true worth as much as anybody on this board. However, once thing I've learned from more than a decade of investing in mining stocks is that if you want to make money, it pays to be patient. That copper sitting in the ground is only likely to get more valuable in the long term. Although there's likely more waiting to be found, the planet isn ...more

This sounds great, but if your life is passing by while you wait.  Investors in their 70s will die waiting.

All kinds of investors. All kinds of truisms. I go by,. The best guesser wins. 3 of my 4 copper stocks r 1 and 2 decade plus swing trade investments. Tko about a decade is by far my best. The reason is that you can trade them. Ame and bwcg give 1or 2 opps per year to swing. Ncu I have only began accumulating a couple years ago. Like tko, any day is open to swinging. To be a successful a swing ...more

Oh please, just stop it...and then get off of your high horse. We've heard this same shtick from you in the past, pretty much verbatim. So, let's get this straight, shall we? Just because you used to work for the agency, you're the informed one and the rest of us "uninformed" shlaboos don't know squat, right? Sorry pal, there are quite a few of us here that happen to be ...more

I kind of agree with JoeStock. This should jave all happened a year ago. I'm tired of the EPA's excuses and arbitrary timelines. My conspiracy thery is that someone at the EPA was paid to slow the process down.....

The frustrating part is that although the company has claimed to be in regular dialog with the EPA, (..weekly?)..the timeline estimates coming out are way off..and have been for well over a year now.
