Regarding the CC transcript, the thing that seemed interesting to me was the question about reviving the idea of an SX-EW plant at Gibraltar.  I know some otherwise dead mines here in AZ are still producing millions of pounds a year by leaching their waste piles.  Gibraltar is an old mine and could have a significant amount of copper available in those waste piles.  Its basically ...more

You might remember, a couple years ago, I floated that Idea. Someone mentioned it to bb and he said not going to happen. The new Rio leach tech is just to good. They r using it on one of Excelsiors projects. Also on Lyons Herrington mine. I am hopping to here a deal at ph. Besides tailings they can crush waisted rock. That would tko profit going forward. Nf

Talked to BB.  They actually have a small SXEW plant on site.  They are talking about firing it up earlier than anticipated.  It has not been in use for nearly a decade.  It would add 5 million pounds a year or so.   No discussion about using the new bacteria tech for leaching.

The other thing of interest is that historically they have had to pay about 8 cents a pound to the smelters for processing.  But the smelters are so concerned about getting ore that the charge is flipped and the smelters are paying them if they will guarantee to send ore over the next year.  That shows how concerned the smelters are about copper supply and a significant c1 savings ...more

CC 0.24 % Cu grade  79% recovery = 4 pounds copper / ton  in pit crusher move in Q2 Connector pit will be main source of ore
