Needs yet another "few weeks"....one more promised deadline missed.
Comment by goldstd69 on Mar 06, 2024 7:44pm
accumulate Artemis on weakness if there is any weakness...Artemis another stock to be bought out....2024 will be a year of consolidations in the mining sector imho
Comment by metalhead666 on Mar 06, 2024 8:44pm
Barrick said they were looking and looking in Canada. Not many projects fit their requirements...Artemis and Troilus are the only two I know of.

Capex has increased by $200m since the presentation a month ago. I'm now leaning towards the theory that there is a finance deal being agreed in conjunction with the FS being released.
Comment by metalhead666 on Mar 06, 2024 8:43pm
How do you come up with that?  Impossible that the FS gets released along with financing.  Supposedly the basic FS was just completed a few weeks ago and the so called "trade off" studies are ongoing. No major is going to step up without a lot of due diligence unless it's a very low ball offer
Comment by Hundo2022 on Mar 06, 2024 9:42pm
You know Majors conduct their own Fin Analysis before procurement. But i agree it seems to rushed to announced both, but i won't rule it out either :3

Maybe the 11th hour changes are being driven by a likely JV partner.  When each chip falls who knows.  But things look lined up really well right now.  The timing with how physical AU is shaping up is perfect.  I may have one more add in me over the next two weeks.

ARTG is in play I'm hearing,, more than kicking of the tires.. IM still in the money by a decent chunk here with A LG so am happy to wait it out while it consolidates.. I'm also of the mindset a buyout is in play with TLG.. Mothing I've heard but more of a gut feeling.. ARTG is more of a sure thing though

Thanks for posting the link to the presentation.   First off, anyone know which company Mr. Reid was referring to when he started his presentation by saying he hated following the previous presenter because "....that's such an absolutely fabulous project"...?   Parts of the presentation I found significant:   Capex: $800M - $1B "which ...more

I've been invested in OSK and followed NRs and presentations. It was a surprise when they announced their JV with Goldfields, but I nearly fell off my chair when JB stated that they had been working together for over 12 months. Goldfields used this time to do their DD before investing. We don't know what is going on behind the scenes with Troilus. It is very possible that a JV will be ...more

I don't like having to guess or make stuff up to justify a bet. I'd much rather miss a big gain then get blindsided because I talked myself into something.
Comment by tomgranite on Mar 07, 2024 7:18am
If that's the case, why on earth are you looking at these types of companies? They are very speculative.
Comment by metalhead666 on Mar 07, 2024 7:42am
Becaise there is speculation and informed speculation. I have no problems with educated informed speculation...it's the uninformed speculation that I avoid
Comment by tomgranite on Mar 07, 2024 8:25am
What do you regard as the uninformed speculation here? Having Artemis 2 years ahead of us with such a similar deposit is a great pointer as to what the FS could show don't you think?
Comment by metalhead666 on Mar 07, 2024 8:48am
Possibly but I don't see any FS. When they could have put it out already with a paragraph explaining the further studies of other scenarios....Which ARTG did....and they have only offered missed timelines...I consider this in the "uninformed" category
Comment by Gutinstincts55 on Mar 07, 2024 6:42am
J R Is always very complementary about other projects. We've had back-and-forth about Delta resources and he only had good things to say. His comment about following a great project's presentation just fits who he is. It was also quite obvious to me that the comments about timelines was tongue and cheek knowing that all timelines that extend out for a junior are not completely in control ...more
Comment by AlwaysLong683 on Mar 07, 2024 9:57am
Agree things can go wrong re. timelines, but Mr. Reid constantly compares TLG to ARTG. ARTG has hit their timeline targets to date, construction 59% complete as the end of 2023, and are on track to pour gold before the end of the year, also as targeted, so hitting timeline targets isn't impossible. People know about forward-looking statements disclaimers. How are investors supposed to know ...more

Good points....I remember MOZ very well
Comment by Gutinstincts55 on Mar 07, 2024 11:02pm
I think that's right.  That's the bet here.  They have to deliver.   If you want to back up & look at the accomplishments from the time Troilus acquired the property to now I'd say it's been an outstanding job to date.  The amount of drilling completed in a more than reasonable amount of time while keeping share count to just under 300M I'd say was a ...more

Fair comments Gut. However, instances like Mr. Reid claiming TLG had around $15M cash on hand during the Crux interview in mid-October only to find out in their financial statements dated October 31 that they really only had a couple of million in cash on hand - thus the reason for an equity raise at 0.35 and 0.42 per unit (1 share plus 1/2 warrant) at the end of October. This was not Mr. Reid' ...more

going to be some feat to raise $1 Billion.
Comment by AlwaysLong683 on Mar 08, 2024 6:04am
If TLG enters into a 50/50 partnership, they should get a sizeable infusion of cash from their mining company partner for the project. Downside is I like 100% owned projects, but TLG may be between a rock and a hard place and need a partner as equity raises of any significant magnitude at these share prices would be painful, especially with 277M shares already outstanding (around 300M fully ...more

He is not adverse to a streaming deal.  He has stated quite a while back that the offered terms of streaming deals were not in Troilus' best interest, so unless that changes it will not be part of the financing moving forward.  95% chance they are going into construction with a JV partner.  What that deal will look like is anyone's guess.  It is highly unlikely they go ...more

Just speculating as to how a 50/50 would go down. Using Artemis FS at $1,800 pog, let's assume our FS is the same C$2.76bil. Let's also assume that the incoming partner would pay 0.60NAV to form the partnership. 2.76bil X 50% X 0.60 = C$828mil. Troilus could raise the remainder from debt/streaming/equity.
