Interview with Kenorland re royalty deal with Sumitomo. Sounds like Sumitomo is moving forward with the Regnault discovery....question is will TLG be a part of the development with the expanded mine capacity?

In the past I've not had an opinion on the Sumi angle one way or the other.  I thought it to be possible, but never really gave it a deep dive to see how much so.  Since Troilus purchased the UrbanGold property on 5/18/21 it connects directly to the Sumi resource.  If Sumi were to buyout Troilus they'd have between 13-16M oz with 2-5M of them being at high grade.   ...more

I don't think Sumi would have to buy TLG....why put out the $. Let say the capex for 50k tonne per day operation would be about $1 billion. Sumi could fund the whole bill with TLG paying back let's say 50% in the first 2 years while Sumi gets their permits to mine Regnault. From there Sumi and TLG could have a DSO deal similar to CTGO and K at Fort Knox.

If Sumi or another entity would (will) be entering a JV agreement with TLG where it acquires a significant majority ownership stake in the property, pays for the majority of the initial capex, and will be doing most of the mine build work, it may be better if TLG just sells the company to the entity now at say a 30% to 40% premium as the investment community may come to the conclusion that TLG won ...more
