thanks vestor for the link. while not agreeing with everything he says, i have learnt a lot from this brilliant mind over the years. he is not afraid of the heavy lifting involved in bringing fresh, clear thought to not only investment, but a myriad of subjects including education, environment, human nature, history, politics, etc. i dare say he is one of the very few original minds in the world ...more

He also called for the demise of the dollar and to buy gold all the way even at the highs.  He only cares about getting media air time and has as many bad calls to go with his good calls.  And those bubbles that he "called" ... he never called them anywhere near the top but from much lower levels as it went parabolic.  In fact, any sane investor would never have survived ...more

I don't follow Casey but he absolutely correct about the USD; it will not continue as the world's reserve currency. It cannot as the creditor nations have run out of patience for the US to pay its bills. Its has a free ride for a long time and now the banksters have ruined their country. Ask yourself why the Chinese are not worried about writing off 1 T USD in Treasuries??? Perhaps it has ...more
