Just a thought

Will the Fed ever normalize interest rates to at least 4%? If they do that within the next few years, I have this question. How is the U.S. going to lower their 20 trillion dollar debt when interest payments alone will be 1 trillion dollars? Revaluing gold sure is looking good; don`t you think Janet?

Your right about the deficit, but it is what the market views as strength, not us and the U.S. being the first having dealt with the financial crisis back in 2008 (now Europe) the US dollar is the current go to currency (right or wrong). The U.S. economy has been recovering slowly and the rest of the world (China slower growth excepted) is the current drag. Maybe commodities in time but not now ...more

The reason why markets are down is because IF i mean this with a big captial IF the fed ever does raise interest rates , then all those individuals with margin accounts ,over leveraged home buyers ,  over leveraged companies (companies that have huge capex programs , oil companies are the biggest culprits of this ) they will all take a massive hit The US 10 year yield spiked huge today ...more

just because the unemployment rate is down  does not justify a rate increase as the U. S. gen public is not ready for one as well as a higher rate will put pressure on the national debt  that soon will have to raise the debt ceiling  , and the jobs report is still debateable calculating only those registered and not those unregistered looking for work . A rate increase is already ...more

im thinking if gold holds $1130 tmm should be able to hang around 0.95-1.00, worst case is if gold doesnt hold $1130. unless tmm releases some unbelievable news it more than likely drops somewhere between 0.70-0.90 looking back at the chart. personally i think gold holds 1130 but you never know.
Comment by pdcon1 on Mar 08, 2015 9:43am
the last tuime tmm was under a dollar was in 2010 and gold was trading in the 1100 to 1200 range and they just started producing 60,000 oz of gold . since then production has doubled and gold oz have quadroupled , any drop in share price from here would have to be orchistrated due to the low volume or must sell share holders to pay off some debt.  Tmm is currantly trading at its 52 week ...more
