You told me the same thing a year ago, but note this

Gold started dropping last year February to December (over all) starting during the summer sell off into tax loss season. All assets will be sold down earlier this year due to a skittish market with profit taking, and a turnover to cash. Since I've been in the markets professionally for decades, I’ll again watch you disappear again when the sadness of summer sell off begins.

I have never said prior to this that gold is in an uptrend ( feel free to check my post history and copy and paste such a statement here for everyone and prove me wrong ) Dont worry Frankman , I cant dissapear because I need to save your post to see when summer time comes. While your constantly charting gold so much "market professional" maybe you should also chart other factors that ...more

Blade, i've ignored the poster that repeats the same old things - seems they use multiple alias'. I agree with your view: The economy will go into recession and the impact on the USD will be negative - which bodes well for gold.   I see the uptrend continuing all year, with several consolidation points along the way. Easy answer for me to answer. The U.S dollar and treasuries are the go to currency worldwide PERIOD. That's why everyone prefers to be paid in U.S dollars. No other currency and the Euro and Europe are still trying to deal with massive debt (example trillion of debt for Italy). Few trust the Chinese and their secret society.

"The US dollar and treasuries are the go to currency worldwide PERIOD" you say that while i watch the US dollar idex lose 3% in 2 days alone. That is ALOT for a currency that is supposed to be the "go-to" currency on this planet. Yes your right the USD was most definetly the go to currency for all of 2014 virtually only because everyone other country had monetary easing going ...more

Yes and I make that prediction(s) about the dollar during the current euphoria stage. Dollar down Euro up. Go figure huh? That's when I take profit. When others are euphoric. Then investors (suckers) are left holding the bag. Just like the euphoric Newstrike ‘investors” I warned.

All countries have debt, but is viewed as a safe place to park your money (worldwide).  Few want to hold the Chinese, Russian currency. Europe has the largest debt load with sliding economies. Think longer than a few months of currency trading. Or like I call the flavour of the day.

"Europe has the largest debt load with sliding economies." After doing quick google search , EU has a total approx debt load of $13 Trillion ( after conversion to USD) and the US has  total debt of approx $19 Trillion. If your source of information is more accurate then my simple google search of those numbers above , please post your source on here for everyone information ...more
