Tom Jones

Tom Jones said it best.   why why why Delilah......well Timmins has a hard time moving because..
The smaller a float, the more volatile a stock can become. If a stock has one million shares in its float and announces really good news, the share price will soar due to their being hardly any shares in the float. If there are hardly any shares in the float, this means that shares are harder to buy and the price to buy shares will go up.

If a stock has a really big float, this would mean that the stock is prone to less explosive moves. A stock with a float of 100 million shares won't rise 100% in one day, but a stock with a float of 1 million shares could.

Timmins has 319.2 million shares out there.... and  a float of 284.9 million shares that anyone can buy...      stock price is like gold    its scarcity makes it valuable.....   signed  long term.

I'm new at this where do you get the float info and how do you know when it's exhausted
Comment by bobofet on Nov 03, 2016 2:04pm
Share structure you will find on Timmins web site....   as for the float this number is always moving if you search the web you will find  an approximation,, exhaustion will only occur  as more people buy in.       thanks

Hi bobofet, sorry but your analogy of the TMM share count being the determining factor of the share price is inaccurate. Goldcorp has many more shares outstanding (844 million) than TMM, yet their stock price is over $20. per share. Market cap divided by share count is what determines the share price. TMM is highly leveraged to the gold price with only San Francisco in production at present. As ...more

Ana Paula is a very impressive asset. My question/concern is how it's being financed. From the presentation this is not clear.

Someone with more knowledge on TMM would probalbly be able to anwer that question better than me, but my understanding is that they will fund pre-construction activities from San Francisco cash flow and then look to do a financing (hopefully debt, not equity) for the 100 or so million cost to put Ana Paula into production.

You are also correct...... no its not THE determining factor but yet a fact...  I dont know who how many institional investors, insiders,  hold shares of Goldcorp...   but it is a fact the less shares out there the harder to get  is a factor, dilution, dilution.
