FYI: Restart Plan Updated ;>O
12:19 PM EST, 12/23/2022 (MT Newswires) -- TC Energy (TRP.TO, TRP) on Friday said US regulators approved the company's plan to restart the portion of its 622,000 barrel per day Keystone pipeline following a Dec.8 rupture that spilled 14,000 barrels of oil into a Kansas creek.
In a statement posted on its website, the company said the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) approved the restart plan, though it warned it will be several days before crude oil begins flowing to the Cushing, Oklahoma, storage hub and Texas refineries.
"The U.S. Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) has approved our Restart Plan for the Cushing segment. We will be commencing activities to support the safe restart of the segment, including rigorous testing and inspections, and this will take several days. We will provide an update on in-service once we are able," the company said.
TC shares were last seen up C$0.96 to C$55.05 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
