2 for 1, sounds great to me
This should act like a 2 for 1 split. Double the shares split on a pro-rated basis depending on the valuation of each new company. Every time I have had a spit in a company I have owned it has always turned out positive. I am looking forward to this split and I hope it has a positive effect on the valuation of TRP share price going forward.

Technically in this case the share price is split as well. Depends on whether the market sees this as a positive or not on whether the price goes up.

If the market see this as positive or not does not matter, in the long run this will be huge positive in my opinion. The dividend is almost 8% now and it will be increasing 3 to 5% a year, what's not to like.

Yes I have heard of Brookfield, in fact I bought Brookfield when it was call Edper back in 1978, I paid $7800 for the shares which are now worth over $800,000 dollars, so what is your point. I own over 10 different Brookfield companies now.

Hmm...looks to me someone figured out a way to reset the dividend without having to cut it.
