Tax treatment for TRP and SOBO shares

Does any one know the tax implication of the transaction? What would be the adjusted cost base of the TRP and SOBO shares after the distribution of SOBO shares to the TRP shareholders?

Read the news release. Adjusted cost base will be posted on the web sites of SOBO and TRP. why do people that invest in equities do so little research on their own?

i would be better if the shares were posted to your account before others could trade them....As fo going to anouther tading platform the banks have it set so that it takes up to 3 months to move stock over in kind. during that time lots could happen such as dividend confusion.  The banks as we all should know transfer pieces of paper for profit when they take NO RISK themselves. To be fair, this entire process has been so convoluted and poorly communicated by the company(s) it's been ridiculous. Even Southbow's NR yesterday....by anyone's interpretation this should mean me and everyone else selling shares of TRP on or after the 25th get SOBO shares no?  But yet of course we don't judging by the actual true "on record" date "South Bow
