Unfortunately the EU regulators put a kibosh on that. It was approved by Canadian government at the time. Perhaps the EU will change their mind but I doubt it. more i think about it, porter could buy air transat. they're lining up to be an international carrier so once they have the cash this would be a cheap buyout.
