Talisker Resources Ltd > What am I missing?

What am I missing?

The latest deal gives Talisker
- $20k   big deal, nothing really
- 1,500,000 shares  big deal, nothing really
- 1%nsr ($1,000,000 anytime buyback)
....big deal, nothing really

For that, Westhaven gets
- to more than double their property at Shovelnose.
...that is a crazy lop-sided major factor that should command more than a mere pittance in relation to the pre-deal value of Westhaven.

More than DOUBLING the ground that Westhaven has at Shovelnose should command a much higher value than what is contained in this deal.

That  tells me either Gareth is a much better at negotiating than Terry and his team or that this could be some type of gimme repayment for something from the past.
Or both.
Either way, I believe it is crazy for Talisker to have given up so much for so little.

Time, as always, will give the real answer if this was a good or bad deal.

Everything I know about Gareth says he will come out leaps & bounds ahead of Terry on this one.

Westhaven has a $30M mcap and gets to over double their land package at Shovelnose for less than $1.5M...

C'mon, give ur head a shake.

What am missing or getting wrong here?

For the record, my discuss with Terry is based entirely on his lack of ethics and the segregated way he treats his retail investors. I seriously had a lot of respect for Terry and believed that finally we have a guy who is forthright and accountable to ALL of it shareholders. I was clearly wrong. As for his decision-making skills, I believe he is a super smart miner and Terry is not in the market ...more

Calls4U, It is my understanding that Talisker (Which was Sable Resources, at the time), were called in, by Westhaven, for their expertise,  to assist Westhaven in finding the source of the gold mineralization. They had been attempting to pinpoint the source but were unable to do so for over 10 years prior. I may be a little off on this but that is the way it was put to me back in the days ...more

TSK was built from the ashes of Eurocontrol Technics. They took over the Company mainly because of the tax advantages Euro provided. Post EUO, they did do a property purchase with Sable and later sold some of the same properties. For anybody who is interested, they can go to sedar and review all the documents... but at this stage of the game, it really don't matter much Imo. Thanks for ...more

Call4diper, you will not find hot water here as we say, Nr1 thing when investing in junior sector is great and honest mgmt, that will bring value for shareholders, best thing is to track them when they sell company, like SIL or SDE for example, they create value by rising PP at higher prices, and investors are willing to pay for it, simple, here is a hint for you amigo, AXL great growth story and ...more

Why does Tsk needs this property, 2 permitted mines, Bralorne resource could go to 5 M Au, that is 50 years of mining at 100k/year, why drilling if everything is ready to go, why hold, if they did not intend to drill.... look at share price of Westheaven, their latest PP,  drill results, what could they give Tsk more, they have nothing to give, all in all good deal and reduced cost for Tsk ...more

If you read what I wrote, I did not say that Talisker needed this property or deal with Westhaven. What I said was, to me, the deal appears lop-sided. I firmly believe that a better deal for Talisker was  more than possible. Your argument lacks solid reasoning. Just because a purchaser can only afford 'x' does definitely not mean that the sale price should then become 'x'. If ...more

I know what you wrote and meant, but junior mining is in toilet, and does not look good, yes there could be better deal, but with different company,
