Net-net result of irradiation

Obviously, there are merits and disadvantages to irradiation. But all this new promotion of irradiation tells me is the Cattlemen are not going for Econiche. And all these new debates on irradiation on the street and the policy making level is another big distraction to Econiche. Apparently, the attention has shifted from Econiche and it is in the back-burner already. Good luck in hoping to see any subsidy for Econiche in the near future. For me, Econiche is dead in Canada and U.S. EuroAsian market may still have a slight crack open. But I wouldn't count on it and definitely not want to spend the money to try to get it through the authorities there. I would sell Econiche to any interested parties there and let them handle it. By such, we can at least get some money out of this cursed venture and use it for other more realistic and immediate use.

That also begs the question what we are going to do with the VMC even if it gets the GMP. Do you think the outside contracts for vaccine manufacturing alone can generate enough revenue to carry the VMC? Otherwise, how much longer is the cash burn on it going to continue? At least not until Urocidin is approved for commercial use. Can we afford to carry it? If we have the GMP, we might want to sell the one at Point-Claire. But we'd better get the GMP within the next three months.

If an Econiche subsidy/mandate didn't come along, it would provide a 'convenient excuse' in having the VMC starting to earn its keep.  It gave McRae breathing room and several more months of continued negotiation with the Feds.     But as you have pointed out rhdmd, ...more
