Graeme vs William Wells

Lets Compare the two parties:

Graeme McRae. 15 years of good R&D and product acquisitions. An abject failure in reeling in expenses, decision making and commercializing products. The worst negotiator In just about Everything except for when he put together his iron clad CEO and chair of the board agreements. It was (until 2013) virtually impossible to unseat Graeme. In that way he was brilliant. He has surrounded himself with yes men and anyone else with a differing view was shown the door.(see Cameron Groome) it is almost impossible run a company into the position we are now with the tremendous assets we have (most companies with only a phase 3 trial product trade over 100mm- yet we have so much more and trade at 30mm) without some incredibly stupid decisions.

William Wells ran a multi billion dollar biotech that turned into the largest merger in canadian biotech history. He tried to buy our animal health division for something less than what we are supposedly being offered now. That is called smart. Buying a fifth of the company from fonds is also smart. Waiting until the week the non disclosure expired to buy into the company is also smart. He must have looked at the RCP deal graeme out together and laughed.

Who would you rather have making decisions and negotiating on your behalf?  Pretty simple answer I think. If Graeme has 100mm in cash, the market will not reward us for even 25% of it because they know his spending habits. If William Wells gets 100mm they will reward us probably 120% because they will know a real strategic acquisition will be coming (not Plasvaac bunk) or a dividend. Think long and hard before you blindly support  someone who has done  the type of damage Graeme has inflicted on this company and its reputation in the street and continues to do so. (See paladin 18.25% usery loan for rights to urocidin)  if all thing were equal , would you rather start from .32 or a 1.32? You figure out who would be starting us out at 1.32. GL

Good points DB but that is why we are in the NZ sitting on that white picket fence waiting for the two parties to show us a few cards. DB who is this guy Lorne player thinks I am. Keep buying those Lotto tickets. If I win I promise to buy BNC shares, meanwhile I bought more CM with my real money rather then BNC. HT
