Financing, buyout, partnership or VMC sale...

It is all about balancing timelines. You can't really let cash get below 6 months or you're asking for a reaming by the markets. We have approximately 12 months of cash right now. So we have 4 to 6 months to: sell the VMC and its debt for even a few million over and above the current debt of 14mm (as per Rube), find a partner with some upfront funds (likely 25 to 40mm) or a buyout offer to get our SP at a level that will not be so punitive to SHs in the event of a financing. Berendt said at the AGM, he didn't take this job for the salary. He has 4.2mm reasons to get a n MCNA partner in short order, let it be known the company is being shopped or sell the VMC before a financing. Dr Berendt is not Graeme Mcrae, that is for sure and so far he has done exactly what we had all hoped and exactly what he said he would do. That being said, our SP sure seems pinned at the .28 - .30 range which gives me an odd feeling in my gut that a financing could be on its way. I hope that odd feeling is just the Korean BBQ lunch I had... We shall see.

We might have to ...more

Without dumping on management, it should be noted that the share price is 20% below where it was the day Berendt took over. That is hard to fathom considering the train derailment he was taking over from. Yet with the news of the last month there has to be some sense of embarrassment at this share price. We all know the resumes of the new management team. Who would have predicted a 20% backtrack ...more

Wouldn't it be FUNNY if after we do a bought deal financing with " certain shareholders," that within a few months we receive a possible BUYOUT  or  PARTNERSHIP  or  FDA  APPROVAL  of  MCNA.  Then  all the new shareholders  will have to do is pick up their  double , triple etc. on a great  investment in BNC when we didn' ...more
