Partnership

I think we are going to see a partnership soon that will look like this: 20mm up front with a huge milestone 200mm+ on FDA approval. 50/50 revenue sharing for USA. We should get another partnership for EU similar perhaps a bit less on the back end. Once that is done and out of the way, we should start to trade like a ready to submit final BLA company and not a "pulp and paper" plant in Quebec. (Thanks Zep may you rest in peace) Beech

Loose half of their US revenue forever for a measly half of 1 year peak US revenue. That seems like a terrible deal to me. What would they need $200M in the short term for anyway? Maybe if they designed a study to replace BCG with MCNA but their proceeds from MCNA sales should be able to fund that anyway. I'd much rather they do another round of funding than take a deal like that.

BEECH: I hope you are right but I need a couple of questions answered.  1. Why would anybody want to become a partner NOW when they know they have to wait at least a year for FDA answer? Why should they tie up their money? 2. Why would anybody offer to buy the company NOW? We only have the one drug and one  plant--no revenue-- and they have to wait one year for FDA answer. I get the ...more

Blartar. partnership happen in pre clinical, phase 1,2,3 or post approval. If every pharma only partnered once FDA approval was in place they would go broke. Endo partnered with us with only phase 2 in hand and gave us 38mm up front with 100mm in milestones. The risk to a pharma is only the up front money. 20mm is pocket change for a big. They only shell out the bigs buck once they are sure ...more

You are right again, Beech. But I was around when we had the ENDO deal and look where that got us. I am afraid any potential new partners have the ENDO deal in their sites too. How do we change that? Besides new management, what's different? Or is that enough? JMHO

No Beech, you are wrong yet again. When we partnered with Endo we had Ph IIIa in the bag. They paid a few paltry millions to slow urocidin down by several years. Get your facts straight, please!😭

swineballls, for once you are correct. Time to celebrate............you old multiple alias poster............lol

I agree that Endo scuttled Urocidin. They pulled the wool over Santa's eyes. Imagine signing a deal with the company that makes money with the competing drug. We were screwed. Wouldn't surprise me but they try it again.

Blartat if I can reply to your questions a.  a partner could come at ( or be announced) at any time; pre-clinical, P1-2-3 or post approval b.  after bla is filed & manuf fac is ready FDA could approve asa 3 months; FDA has seen a lot already c.  as for a buyout TST could be bought now for peanuts or small change for a big farma d.  the longer they wait the more its going to ...more

Thank you !         I agree with everything you quote, but it;s your last statement that I believe is the real problem. lastly I do not know if you have noticed how well the sp has been managed lately either for a pp or a buyout JMHO

My prediction is there will be another BLA filling delay. As long as TST is holy Canadian owned, there will be no filling. After the next delay is announced, TST will be sold for a small fraction of any future value, to an American firm. JMO

My prediction is that you are wrong. I believe they will file the BLA before the end of June 2015. This company is not run by Santa anymore.....

I hope you are right, but I am not optimistic.
