Our newfound US financial muscle..two issues of note:

a) how many shares will they eventually accumulate

b) how will they hedge the upcoming event risks...

...way beyond the intellect of the TST bagholders but very important to know.

a) Immaterial to your investment thesis. If they accumulate more, make sure they are buying off you and not the guy you sold to. b) TST's upcoming risk events can not be 'hedged', in the traditional sense.  There is no financial instrument out there with a sufficient magnitude of correlation with which to hedge. You hedge TST by buying less of it.

farma, thanks for the civil reply, that means you aren't a TST bagholder (they sure are some angry and ignorant pieces of dirt) but i disagree on both points: a) need to know as i suspect many rubes/bagholders sold out already (me i was buying before and buying after the NR) and as i profile CCI it seems most of their holdings are with companies that have 70% + institutional ownership... TST ...more

bionut, ROTFLAMO..another TST bagholder with great anger issues...i have and i seem to be the only one on this MB who has... ...and remember bionut your ego exceeds your intelligence and place in life but keep entertaining me i deserve it.. ps bionut and you TST bagholders you should all take a chill pill, us adults (US investors and me) are here now to sheppard TST to a better place... your ...more

Totally agree regarding CCI and the others. Still, having established that CCI are cornerstone investors, we can then accept the assumption that if they have any more to do in public market, they are much more likely to be marginal buyers rather than sellers here. And so if that's the case, I'd maintain that it doesn't matter to your outlook (sorry, I assume you're bullish on the ...more

farma, wow tow civil posts on this cesspool MB it is a record of some sorts.  a couple of points: a) i believe TST has one of those goofy, useless, retarded rights plans in effect and so CCI bought to 19.96% and then stopped so as to not trigger the "event"...IMO one of the other two are buying TST, maybe with a "loan" from CCI...but irrespective shares are being taken off ...more

Ahah, I see, thanks for the explanation! Yep, that must indeed be a pretty poor position to be in... Only came across the story within the last 12 months, at which point believe stock looks great imo... but I have to retrospectively educate myself on the history! To have held it all the way down through Bioniche implosion, however, must suck. Agree, new leadership and execution has been ...more

farma, i have seen RTF's before on small companies like TST and in this case it is a brand new team and not involved in the trials so...but now with US expertise buying in i have no more concerns about an RTF as i suspect they wouldn't have bought in had they thought it possible. ...adcom who knows (i wonder if there will be a webcast) i suspect the "practitioners" may be ...more

Yep, you clearly know your background, and you've absolutely hit the nail on the head re: biggest risk - the perception that data is insufficient for any reason. I have a few reasons to get more comfortable on that myself, but the fact of the matter is, this is the single key risk and the biggest unknown. End of story.  The trial did "fail" i.e. 40% DFS 1Y was the target set ...more

farma, i agree the most compelling positve data point is the 2 years data..the "failed trial" means nothing to me and IMO more related on this point to trial design (which was IMO based on the PII) and whether there was selection and other bias, etc. ...but the long duration response data i'm guessing is "real deal" and so who knows...initially based on all i could ...more
